The Challenge

Breaking the “Traditional Law Firm” Mold

Haber Law began as a boutique firm with four attorneys and limited market visibility. As they expanded into a cutting-edge, art-filled office in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District, their digital presence lagged behind their physical reality. They were no longer just a small firm; they were a growing powerhouse in Construction, Condo, and Business Litigation.

The challenge was twofold: Scale the brand to support their rapid growth to nearly 40 attorneys, and differentiate them in a saturated market where most firms looked and sounded exactly the same. They needed a strategy that built trust while showcasing their unique, innovative culture.

Key Obstacles:
  • Market Saturation: Miami is crowded with litigation firms; standing out required a bold departure from traditional conservative branding.
  • Perception Gap: The firm’s digital footprint did not reflect their actual size or the sophisticated nature of their new Wynwood headquarters.
  •  Human Connection: Building genuine rapport in a high-stakes B2B environment is difficult. We had to find a way to make “corporate” feel “personal.”

The Strategy

The “Know, Like, Trust” Model

We moved beyond standard legal marketing by injecting personality into the brand. We identified that Founder David Haber’s passion for fishing was a unique connector. We launched the dedicated @fishinglawyer305 Instagram account and integrated personal storytelling into the corporate strategy to humanize the firm and build the “Like” factor.

Wynwood-Inspired Web Design

To match their new “Silicon Valley-style” headquarters in Wynwood, we designed a digital experience that eschewed stuffy legal tropes. The new site highlights their modern art collection, collaborative spaces, and forward-thinking philosophy, signaling to clients that this is a modern firm for modern problems.

Authority-Driven Content

We positioned their attorneys as undeniable thought leaders. By structuring the site around their core competencies—Construction and HOA Law—and highlighting their board certifications and “AV Preeminent®” ratings, we balanced the modern vibe with deep, traditional authority.

Case Study Related FAQs

Why was the “Fishing Lawyer” persona integrated into a corporate law strategy?
+
Differentiation was key. In a sea of “blue suit” lawyers, David Haber’s passion for fishing offered a unique, human hook. It effectively softened the firm’s image, making them approachable while retaining their high-stakes litigation authority.
How did the Wynwood location influence the website’s design?
+
Moving to the Arts District signaled a shift from “traditional” to “innovative.” We mirrored this by swapping standard stock photos for custom photography of their art-filled office and using bold, modern typography that reflects the creative energy of the neighborhood.
How did the website support the firm’s growth from 4 to 40 attorneys?
+
Scalability was a priority. We built a dynamic “Attorneys” directory that allowed the firm to easily add new hires and practice areas without breaking the site’s layout, ensuring the digital footprint could keep pace with their rapid physical expansion.
Did the “lifestyle” branding affect the firm’s credibility?
+
Not at all. We balanced the lifestyle elements with “Trust Signals.” By prominently featuring Board Certifications, “AV Preeminent” ratings, and major case victories on the homepage, we proved that a firm can be both culturally cool and legally formidable.
What role did social media play in the firm’s recruitment?
+
A massive one. The vibrant, culture-focused social strategy didn’t just attract clients; it attracted top talent. By showcasing a workplace that values personality and work-life balance (like the fishing trips), Haber Law became a magnet for young, ambitious attorneys.
